AfricaMeet.Net: User Agreement
Your use of AfricaMeet.Net web site constitutes an explicit acceptance of all the conditions stated in this User Agreement.
1. Membership Eligibility and Registration
To use the services of AfricaMeet.Net, you must be able to form legally binding contracts under applicable laws. You must be 18 or over to create an account with us and use our services. You must provide truthful and correct information during your registration with our services and you must maintain the accuracy of your information in your account.
We reserve the rights to suspend or terminate your membership without warning if we find your information to be false or misleading. We reserve the right to carry out random verification checks in order to protect other users from frivolous registration and scams. Suspended or terminated members are not eligible to use our services.
2. AfricaMeet.Net is Only a Site Provider
AfricaMeet.Net is an online site provider for interested individuals to meet online and share information. We have no control over the quality and truthful representation of the information posted by members. It is your responsibility to exercise common sense in selecting the members you share private information with. AfricaMeet.Net reserves the right at our sole discretion, but not obligation, to be involved in member disputes to help promote a friendly environment for all members.
3. Content Ownership and Responsibility
You may anytime update or delete any information you posted on our site, including your account itself. You may also contact us to request that we delete your account, when and if you decide to discontinue your membership.
AfricaMeet.Net respects intellectual property laws and we require that our members do the same. You acknowledge and warrant that the materials (e.g. audio, music, etc.) you are posting on our site do not infringe any copyrights and intellectual property rights. We will remove all materials that we have the evidence to be in violation of intellectual property owners’ rights. In addition, we may terminate your account if we find that you repeatedly infringe copyrights and intellectual property rights.
4. Acceptable Content
You may not include in information materials you post on our site:
- Sexually explicit representation (text descriptions or picture of sexual acts, pornography, and nudity)
- Morally offensive representations
- Multimedia representation of other people without their knowledge or permission
- Advocacy for racism, hatred and/or violence
- Illegal materials
Materials that are posted are subject to review by our staff, and may be removed without prior notice, if considered to be in violation of this User Agreement.
5. Non-commercial Use and Members Harassment
AfricaMeet.Net is for non-commercial use by members. You may not post on our site materials for promoting a business, product and other information for commercial purposes without our prior written authorization.
You may not send solicitations to members for commercial or sexual purposes. You may not harass other members through any forms of solicitation. Your membership may be terminated if we find you in violation of this User Agreement.
6. Dispute and Release
Because we are only provide a venue for members to interact, in the event that you have a dispute with one or more users, you release AfricaMeet.Net (and our employees, officers, directors, agents) from any and all types of claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) resulting from such disputes.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AfricaMeet.Net, its officers, employees, parent companies, subsidiaries, contractors, vendors or affiliates, from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of AfricaMeet.Net, your violation of this User Agreement or any intellectual property or other right of any third party.
8. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL AfricaMeet.Net (INCLUDING OUR SUPPLIERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES) BE LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, OR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (HOWEVER ARISING, INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) RESULTING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT OR THE USE OF THE SITE.
9. No Warranty
THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE OFFERED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF TITLE, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON INFRINGEMENT.
10. Privacy and Technical Information Collected
AfricaMeet.Net values your use of our web site and we are strongly committed to the protection of your privacy. We take several steps to protect your privacy.
To provide a safe environment to you and other users, and analyze aggregate activities on AfricaMeet.Net, we may monitor our web site and collect log files, such as browser information, date and time of visit, and referral and outgoing URL. Information included in this log file is not directly personally identifiable.
11. Information Use and Sharing
AfricaMeet.Net is the sole user of the information collected on this site. We collect information from our users at different point when you register or use AfricaMeet.Net. Your personal information is used only for legitimate business purposes, like allowing us to contact you when needed. We do not share with, rent or sell your information to any other third party.
12. Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law in order to comply with a judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.
13. General - Arbitration
This Agreement and the terms and conditions herein, shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the province of British Columbia (BC), Canada. You agree that any controversy or claim arising out of, or relating to this Agreement or our services shall be first settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the arbitration rules of Better Business Bureau or the commercial arbitration regulations or laws of British Columbia.
Should arbitration fail, you further submit to the legal jurisdiction of the province of British Columbia (BC) and agree that any legal action or proceeding regarding this Agreement, whether it be on a local, state, or federal level, shall be brought in Surrey, BC or a court within the jurisdiction of the Vancouver and Lower Mainland, BC.
We do not guarantee continuous or secure access to our services, and operation of our site may be interfered with by factors outside of our control.
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced.
We may change this User Agreement in our sole discretion and our changes are effective after we provide you with at least seven(7) days' notice of the changes by posting the changes on our site or sending email to users who select such notification.
